About Swiss Aerospace Ventures
Swiss Aerospace Ventures helps technical founders turn aerospace innovations into more credible ventures — with stronger market judgment, sharper positioning, and a clearer path to customers, partners, and capital.
Why this business exists
Why SAV exists
Aerospace ventures do not fail for the same reasons as software startups.
The sales cycles are longer. Validation is harder. Buyers are fewer. Partnerships matter more. Regulation appears earlier. Fundraising usually takes more time and more discipline.
That means founders often need something different from generic startup advice.
Swiss Aerospace Ventures exists to help technical founders make better commercial decisions earlier — before weak market logic, vague positioning, or poor sequencing turn into expensive detours.
What the work actually looks like
SAV works with founders on the parts of venture building that are usually hardest to fake and most expensive to get wrong. The work is practical, selective, and tied to real decisions — not generic “innovation support.”
Operating model
Swiss Aerospace Ventures is intentionally lean.
It does not try to look bigger than it is. It does not build a large permanent team to signal scale. It works directly, stays senior, and brings in specialist support only when that improves the result.
That model is better suited to early-stage aerospace work, where clarity, speed, and judgment matter more than theatre.
Depending on the situation, SAV can work through:
structured programmes
hands-on venture building
fundraising support
selective dual-use and defence pathway work
Founder
Swiss Aerospace Ventures is led by Julian Walder. Julian’s work sits at the intersection of venture building, commercialization, positioning, and founder support. His strength is helping technical teams translate complexity into a clearer company story, a stronger market path, and better execution priorities. That perspective is useful because early-stage ventures rarely fail only on technology. They also fail on customer logic, timing, communication, and decision quality. SAV brings that venture-building lens into aerospace, where the cost of getting the company logic wrong is usually much higher.

The real bottlenecks
Most founders do not need more generic advice. They need better answers to a small set of hard questions. SAV is built to help answer those questions with more discipline and less noise.
Clear boundaries
SAV is not a generalist consultancy.
It is not a branding agency dressed up in aerospace language. It is not passive advisory that ends in a strategy deck and disappears.
The work is designed to be commercially relevant, founder-useful, and tied to the next meaningful decision.
